If you are interested to join any of the interest groups as a Lead or Individual Contributor, please reach out to KC.

AI & Data Analytics
This interest group focuses on the integration of AI & Data Analytics in human-centered design and ergonomics. Members collaborate to harness AI and data-driven insights to enhance product and system usability, safety, and efficiency, making technology more intuitive and responsive to human needs.

Humanity-Centered Design
This interest group focuses on designing products, systems, and environments with a deep understanding of human behavior, culture, and diversity. It explores user-centric design principles, empathy-driven approaches, and inclusive design practices to create solutions that improve the overall human experience while considering the broader impact on the Earth.

HFESS Mentorship Program

We are in an industry that is constantly changing. Career challenges, uncertainty and guidance is an ongoing concern. Seeing the changes around us manifesting so rapidly, we initiated the HFESS Mentorship Program as our way to help student and young professional members with their career goals, plans and routes to change.

Mentors will be carefully hand-paired based on needs and interest. We offer one-to-one chats where we listen, question, and provide feedback to our mentees. We will share from our journey, the partner networks we have and employer/studio insights.

If you interested, send us an email explaining why you would like a mentoring session, and include an up-to-date CV.

Want to be a Mentor?

Give back and cultivate a thriving design community with us. For members who wish to be a Mentor, we will provide a platform for you to share and connect. We would love for you to bring your unique skillsets and experiences to enrich the mentorship relationships. Ideal mentor profile:

Willingness to share skills, knowledge, and expertise
Takes a personal interest in the mentoring relationship
